As great as books are, they have certain limitations. You can't ask a book a question. You can't ask a book to rephrase itself so you may understand the concepts better. You can't sit back and listen to a book (at least a printed book, that is). And a book just doesn't have the energy that's created when a dynamic group of people share the learning experience.
To really get these benefits, you have to go beyond the book, and attend a workshop.
When you attend a Choose To Believe workshop, you will discover how to:
- Achieve any goal in 4 easy steps
- Instantly call forth a feeling of supreme confidence
- Develop a “lucky streak” that never ends
- Break free from invisible & rigid chains of belief
- Accurately measure the strength of any belief
- Change what you believe with a simple decision to do so
- Amplify the power of your affirmations
- Get immediate feedback on your progress
- Find supporting beliefs for any goal
- Harness the power of negative thinking to reveal limiting beliefs
- Gently guide others to believe as you do
- Adapt this knowledge to work in any situation
When you attend a Choose To Believe workshop, you get:
- an experiential learning experience. You learn by doing, not by reading.
- a chance to ask questions about the material and hear it in a different way, or get the author's view on how the material relates to something else.
- an opportunity to have the author present customized examples that fit your unique situation.
- an opportunity to work one-on-one with the author without having to pay for individual coaching.
- the understanding that you are not alone, and that others share your challenges and goals.
- the experience of a collective group energy that intensifies the learning experience.
- reinforcement of positive beliefs through hearing offhand comments and by seeing them in action.
Most folks who attend a Choose To Believe workshop report that they experienced more personal growth in one session than they have in months of reading books. Attendees generally come away more empowered than they have from other workshops, with practical tools for discovering previous beliefs and shifting them towards more empowering ones.
This isn't a "rah rah" rally where the speaker revs you up and pushes you out the door, with a lot of enthusiasm and no direction. Alan's speaking style, while invigorating, is focused more on communicating value than on simple motivation. You'll feel energized, not from a high-energy presentation, but from a KNOWING that you can truly make profound changes in your life.

Workshop Sessions
The Choose To Believe workshop is presented as a series of sessions, which are described below:
Session 1: Preview Session -- This session gives an overview of the full workshop and covers the scientific evidence that supports the concept that our beliefs really do create our reality. Briefly covering discoveries from quantum physics, molecular biology, medical science, and PK research, attendees are given a solid understanding of the practical nature of beliefs and the effects they have in real life. Many of the basic concepts used throughout the sessions are presented in this session.
Session 2: Find & Measure Your True Beliefs -- This session starts the practical application of the science of faith, and guides all attendees through the first step of any personal change - identifying what needs to be changed. Through a series of powerful questions, we discover what beliefs are helping us towards our goals and which ones are hindering our progress. Everyone who has attended a Choose To Believe workshop has come away from this session with several surprises.
Session 3: Planning Your Glorious Transformation -- Session 3 is quite different from the others because this is where we discuss how we may shift the balance of our previous beliefs. Also covered are some powerful strategies for getting the most done in the least amount of time. The group dynamic really establishes itself during this session, as attendees help each other explore possible alternatives to previous beliefs.
Session 4: From Caterpillar to Butterfly -- This stage of the process is where we practice several techniques for quickly changing what we believe. Key concepts from the book are explored, explained, and practiced, such as Pacing and Leading Affirmations, Creative Pretending, and SubModality Modification. Most attendees have a lot of fun in this session, as we give ourselves permission to play rather than work.
Session 5: Following Your Inner Guidance -- The final session provides attendees with some powerful suggestions on what to do after you change your beliefs. Here, we focus on how to integrate the processes learned into daily life and how to make them a natural part of living. This reinforces the lessons, and makes it easy to hold onto the material long after the workshop has ended.
In total, these 5 sessions can be presented in as little as 8 hours, making it possible to do in a single day. However, the processes are powerful, and many attendees feel they need some time to 'process' the material from the first 3 sessions before moving forward with the last 2. For this reason, we suggest a 2-day format rather than a 1-day format. For groups local to the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, these session may be spread out even further, such as one session per week.
What does it cost to attend a Choose To Believe workshop?
At this time, we do not set a specific fee for this workshop, primarily because we wish to be flexible enough to work with a variety of groups. If we set a fixed fee, we would also have to specify a minimum number of attendees, which may not work with all groups. Travel expenses are also a consideration, and depend on the location of your group. Furthermore, we are willing to work with your group to promote the workshop in your area to attract more attendees and make it easier for all to attend.
As a general guideline, for a 2-day workshop, we need a minimum of $2000 (after all travel and promotional expenses), which works out to be just $100 per person with 20 people in attendance. With average expenses, this should still be under $200 per person. Considering that many 1-day workshops cost $250 or more per person, we feel this is more than reasonable.
